Katherine M. Carter is a New York based director of theatre, opera, and events. She is the co-founding Artistic Director of The MITTEN Lab, an annual residency for emerging theatre artists, now in its second year in her home state of Michigan. With a continued commitment to build social conscious work through adaptations, Katherine founded The Other Mirror Theatre Company in 2010. Work includes; Gods & Kings (Sheen Center), Mirror Alchemy, Going Away, Bite the Apple, and Madame Bovary.
Katherine has collaborated with: New Georges, Playwrights Horizons, The Little Orchestra Society, NYU, Boston Opera Collaborative, On Site Opera, Phaedra's Cabaret, Dixon Place, and Westport Country Playhouse.
Katherine is a 2016 Wolf Trap Opera Directing Fellow, 2016 Drama League First Artist and 2015 Rough Draft Fellow, 2011-2012 Playwrights Horizons Directing Resident, a guest director at NYU’s Stella Adler and Atlantic schools, and a two-time director for Directors Company Adaptations for the Stage Workshop (2010, 2011). She is a member of Directors Lab Chicago (’11, ’14), a New Georges Affiliated Artist, a member of SDC and the League of Professional Theatre Women.

Chelsea Ignagni is a New York based casting professional with three years of industry experience. Having worked on performance art projects in all media forms (theater, television, film, fashion, and commercials), Chelsea is dedicated to catering to the needs of her clients. She believes in providing the perfect talent for each specific and unique work of art.
Chelsea has worked with many of the top casting offices in New York City from ABC Primetime Casting to Tara Rubin Casting. At ABC, she assisted in the casting of numerous television pilots and regular programming including: Once Upon a Time, The Neighbors, and Don’t Trust the B- in Apartment 23. While at TRC, she worked on the Broadway mega-musicals Jersey Boys and The Phantom of the Opera.
Most recently, Chelsea assisted the offices of Michael Cassara Casting and Alan Filderman Casting on almost forty projects including: the Berkshire Theatre Festival, the New York Musical Theater Festival, and the film Paper Dreams.
Chelsea is also the resident casting director of The Other Mirror Theatre. She cast the inaugural production of Madame Bovary, and the 2012 New York Fringe Festival show Bite the Apple. Independently, Chelsea has also been the casting director for several films, plays, and fashion editorials.
A native Texan, Chelsea moved to New York to study Dramatic Literature and Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University. Chelsea graduated NYU Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a strong background in dramaturgy and the history of the performing arts.
Production Team for Going Away and Bite the Apple
Jessica is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Acting. When it comes to the performing side of theatre, this past Fall Jessica completed Level One with Improvolution under the teaching of Holly Mandel; she is excited to complete Level Two this Spring. She also could be seen in The Cider Mill Playhouse production of Tintypes as Emma Goldman. Jessica is currently taking part in a staged reading of a musical adaptation of Euripides' The Bacchae, in the role of Cadmus, with Envelope Ensemble. Jessica has an affinity for the classics and is a graduate of the BADA Summer in Oxford Program. Some of her favorite roles over the years include Betty in Betty's Summer Vacation, Cindy in To Gillian...37th Birthday and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.
